Contagious Women 21 Awards 2021
On the evening of the 24th November 2021 RLabs Women presented its first ever Contagious Women Awards evening.
The awards evening debuted at our final Date Night of the year which is usually our Celebration Date Night. We decided to extend the celebrations to the amazing women from the RLabs ecosystem who have been dominating in their respective fields and industries throughout the year 2021. These could be businesses, social projects, non-profit organizations, etc. They just had to be women-led.
We opened up the nominations so that it was not just the RLabs Women team who could nominate women, but the extended RLabs Women community as well.
The evening opened up with a spectacular performance of “Rise of the Contagious Women” by Lady G.
Before we got into the winners of the night, we had a short meet and greet in the form of a Networking Activity. The theme was of course celebrations.
In breakout rooms, our attendees discussed the following 2 questions:
How do you celebrate achieving your goals, big and small?
How do you celebrate other people's’ wins?
For the first Contagious Women Awards night we had 21 businesses and organisations represented, with 25 women receiving awards. The winners came from the following categories: Technology and Innovation, Sports and Recreation, Creative Arts, Entrepreneurship, and Civil Society.
